Ms. Chemas has demonstrated a dedicated commitment to pro bono. In 2008 she was awarded the prestigious Empire State Counsel® honorific designation. More recently she served the American Bar Association for several years, leading the efforts of as many as five-hundred and fifty attorneys and other professionals to enhance fairness and promote justice. Ms. Chemas is a former member of the New York County Lawyers Association Law and Literature Committee, the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Committee and the ABA Space Law Committee.
